Typical Scottish hotel . Nice view to the seaside. But they forget to switch on the heater system. The room was clean , but cold
very dissatisfied got drink wrong got another one still made wrong got a roast of the day frozen veg frozen yorkie frozen tatties only 1 slice of beef also stake was ment to be med/rare it was well done but good portion size the room we were in was cold the servis was poor
So this is the second time ive stayed here now, first time was horrific, rooms and hotel were disgusting due to the previous poor management hense my first review, had no other option but to try it again and was pleasantly suprised, yeah the hotel is a bit dated but can see major improvements. The only thing i really look for in a hotel is for it to be clean and this time round it was very much so, the management and staff were lovely and can see they are really teyong to better the place.
I have never in my life met somebody as kind hearted as the owner Jim. I was up in Buckie for an interview and was running slightly late. Jim was kind enough to offer me a lift there. He then offered to take me to my next Interview in Elgin (a good 30 minute drive from Buckie)! The room was clean and had a beautiful view over the sea. If you're looking for excellent customer service Marine Hotel is where you will find it!
Had a lovely over night stop here. Lovely clean hotel. Room with sea view was bright, clean & comfy. Lovely meal in a friendly pleasant atmosphere. Jim & Lennie couldn't have been more welcoming. Will definite return if we're ever up this way again & would have no problem recommending it.
